AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR is a photographic project created by Peter Manschot, which combines photography and tourism in the most outstanding natural landscapes.
“After having lived intensely landscape photography since the year 2000, time in which I have been able to portray the different places in their most photogenic moments in Andalusia and beyond, and having published my work, among others, in six author’s books, I would like to share my experience and knowledge with you in the workshops of AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR”.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR offers photographic trips through the most attractive and varied places, taking photographers to the most outstanding places of these landscapes in their most spectacular moments (as long as the weather permits), thus providing interesting photographs to our clients
These courses consist of theoretical and practical sessions on digital photography, specialised in landscape photography and night photography workshops, as well as projections (viewings) of the work done during the courses.
AL ANDALUS PHOTO TOUR provides its participants with full-board accommodation and van transport on our long-term photographic trips.
FOR WHOM?
The trips are aimed at a wide audience, both national and foreign (resident): from the tourist who is interested in getting to know interesting places, or the amateur (who can, if necessary, come with his compact camera) as well as the photographic professional who intends to expand his photographic portfolio.
The workshops can be taught in Spanish, English, German and Dutch, adapting to the client’s demands.
In general, there are no large walks with physical or technical difficulty to reach the locations, although we do recommend that participants are used to walking in Nature
The workshops and trips are suitable for any photographic level, we usually adapt the theoretical sessions to the level of knowledge of the participants.

About Peter Manschot and his work
I am of Dutch origin and a lawyer by profession and self-taught in photography. I have been portraying the varied landscapes of the Iberian Peninsula for more than fifteen years, initially as a means to share my experiences in the mountains and later at a professional level, a dedication that has materialized, among others, in the publication of five author's photographic books, the last one entitled "Flow... and resist!", as well as in numerous individual exhibitions.
Although going into Nature is often referred to as "excursion" and “going out”! for me they are more like "entrances" and "incursions" into a place that allows the disconnection from an "overcivilized" society, to be able to connect with the beauty of the natural environment as well as with the deepest side of oneself.
Nature is for me like an unconditional home, where we can (re)find the most human, generous and creative part of us, a scenario of empowerment where we can recover the protagonism of each one's life and be able to expand our horizons, a basis for a much-needed transformation of this world...
At the same time, Nature is a great ally to bring out our creative side, facilitating moments and spaces of peace, great beauty and depth to also change our way of seeing in conceptual and aesthetic terms, taking our creativity to a higher level.
I usually take my photos staying several days in each landscape to be portrayed (with its corresponding overnight stays in the countryside), experiences that facilitate greater dedication and intimate contact and interaction with the place that allow me to get a greater depth in my photographs.
This way of "living" nature photography has given me a great knowledge about places and their most photogenic moments (composition, light and its time, atmosphere...), an experience that I share in the trips and photographic workshops that I teach through my project Al Andalus Photo Tour.
